While the event options are limited only by the organizer's imaginations, here are a few of the most popular choices:

***Invite one of the video game addiction specialists on the Links page to give a real (or virtual) talk to your group

***Have children, teen, and adult gamers sign a 72-hour pledge to forego all video games during that time

***Read one of the Featured Video Game Addiction books in a reading group or classroom setting & follow it up with an open discussion

***Have a "no electronics allowed" picnic (and be sure to plan some fun activities)

***Get gamers to carefully document their game-playing time for the entire VGAAW--go over the results and discuss

***Institute a "no video games after dinner on school nights" rule

***Start (or sign) a petition for video game companies to produce less violent, more responsible products
